Our Commitment

Young Professionals Group (YPG) is committed to providing a welcoming, safe, and respectful environment for all members, regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, religion, or professional background.

This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for behaviour at all YPG events and within any associated online spaces.

Expected Behaviour

We expect all participants to:

• Treat all individuals with respect, kindness, and professionalism.

• Listen actively, be inclusive, and support an atmosphere of constructive dialogue.

• Speak up if you observe or experience inappropriate behaviour, either directly or via confidential reporting.

• Be mindful of the setting – this is a professional networking community.

• Use appropriate language and avoid offensive, discriminatory, or aggressive speech or actions.

Unacceptable Behaviour

Unacceptable behaviour includes, but is not limited to:

• Aggressive, intimidating, or harassing behaviour.

• Unwanted physical contact or unwelcome sexual attention.

• Offensive comments or jokes related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, disability, or appearance.

• Disruptive or disrespectful behaviour at events.

• Being intoxicated to the point of disturbance or making others uncomfortable.

• Any form of bullying, including online harassment or exclusionary conduct.

Consequences of Unacceptable Behaviour

Any behaviour that violates this Code of Conduct may result in:

• A verbal or written warning.

• Immediate removal from the event.

• Temporary or permanent exclusion from YPG events or platforms.

• Referral to appropriate authorities if necessary.

The response will depend on the nature and severity of the behaviour and will be at the discretion of the YPG leadership team.

Reporting Process

If you experience or witness behaviour that violates this Code of Conduct, we encourage you to report it as soon as possible. You can:

• Speak directly to a member of the YPG team at an event.

• Email us confidentially at info@youngprofessionalsgroup.co.uk.

All reports will be treated seriously, with discretion and confidentiality.
