Join us for an engaging evening of books, conversation, and connection at the Cardiff Young Professionals Book Club.

This FREE monthly event is designed for young professionals who love to read, discuss ideas, and meet like-minded people in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Whether you prefer a physical book, e-book, or audiobook, you can read however suits you best.

Our book selections are carefully chosen to spark thought-provoking discussions and introduce a variety of genres, ensuring something new and exciting each month.

📖 First Book: The Lamplighters by Emma Stonex

For our first session, we’ll dive into The Lamplighters—a gripping mystery inspired by true events. This haunting and beautifully written novel explores the disappearance of three lighthouse keepers and the lives left behind. Expect an evening of intriguing discussions, deep themes, and differing interpretations.

How Our Book Club Works

💡 Step 1: Read the Book – Or as much as you can! If you don’t finish, you can still come along—but we do discuss the ending and you will hear some spoilers.

💬 Step 2: Get the Discussion Topics – A few days before, we’ll send questions and themes to think about. No tests, no homework – this is just a way to make discussions smoother and more fun by giving you the opportunity to reflect on some points beforehand.

🤝 Step 3: Come along – Whether you love sharing your thoughts or prefer to just listen, there’s no right or wrong way to join in. It’s all about good books, great discussions, and meeting like-minded people.
